SHOW ME A SIGN! ​Can my loved ones communicate through signs?

​This question is asked so frequently and answered so simply at times that I must confess, I often overlook it. The question, although quite simple and straight forward, is one that most of us ponder quite seriously at some point in our lives especially after the devastating loss of a loved one. For many, the question is an awakening to the reality of a continued life beyond this physical plane and to the vast possibilities of an intelligent and loving universe.

While many of us are eager to seek the answers, others may never utter the question for fear of not only sounding ridiculous but perhaps there is sincere doubt and fear about the realities of communication between the realms which might also challenge their strong beliefs.  None the less, it is a curiosity to all.

When we lose someone dear to us, the question is inevitably asked in one way or another.

Will my loved one show me a sign? Do they do that? Can I ask them to show me a sign? Will they respond if I do ask? What signs are best? Does it have to be a simple or common sign?

This barrage of questions sometimes reminds me of a verse from that old song from the early 70’s by the Five Man Electrical Band –

"Sign, Sign, everywhere a sign, Blockin’ out the scenery, breakin’ my mind, Do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign?"

Signs come in many forms and with remarkable synchronicity.

Signs are indeed everywhere – in items, words, real signs, license plates, billboards, windows, in lyrics or in music. They are in images, in familiar-looking people, places and everyday things. Signs can be in the form of discussions, familiar sayings, gestures and attitudes.

But any number of doubting Thomases & naysayers will chock the synchronistic ways in which signs show up in our lives to mere chance. They will tell us we are so desperate for a sign that we are looking for them everywhere and we can't help but find them. They tell us we just have false hope.

However after decades of doing my work and the many losses of my own, I have come to know without a shred of doubt that signs truly are a language of intelligence and conscious communication with those who have transcended to the spirit realm.

Ask with sincerity for a sign to be shown to you, one that you'll know unmistakably, and let spirit amaze you. They will find ways to get your attention!

There are many ways in which signs can become meaningful after a loved one has passed, and we should not be short sighted to the abilities of spirit in a realm of intelligence, however there are three methods that are most often used.

Remember first, that when asking for signs from your loved-one to do so with love and a lightness of heart.

The first is to set up a signal, sign or perhaps a saying with a loved one before their passing and it is agreed that the sign will be used as a key to the presence of Spirit after death. For example, a wife makes a plan with her dying husband, to show a sign of their wedding day by referencing a date, a place or some memorable event that occurred during the ceremony in order to verify that it is her husband that is trying to communicate.

If it is not possible to establish this type of sign before a passing, another way to accomplish this is to sit quietly and pray. Tell your spirit loved-one out loud and with reverence, to bring you or show you a certain sign if they are around or are attempting to communicate with you.

A third way is to just be aware and open to distinct signs & symbols that appear in your life after a loved-one’s passing and take pause to thank them.

Also, keep a running journal of the frequency and types of signs that you become aware of. Be mindful not just of what those signs mean to you but what they also may have meant to your loved one.

In time, you will come to KNOW how often they come around you, hold you and carry you through this life.

You will KNOW that you are truly loved.
