Does the Spirit World Experience Joy?

These past few months I've been asked some curious - but important - questions by several clients during their readings in one manner or another. I've contemplated whether these are common questions or whether they have somehow been brought to concern by something I've said - or not said - in the midst of the reading.

​After careful assessment, I believe it's a bit of both.

My faith and trust in the Spirit World is so strong, it is easy to overlook that what is so obvious to me is not necessarily the case for my client. As a result, Spirit's experience of true Joy may not always have been adequately conveyed.

"Do they experience Joy?" "Are they OK?"

These are questions that weigh heavily on those who have lost loved ones. They arise out of a genuine concern for their wellbeing in the afterlife.

So, for this short narrative, I will approach the reality of Joy on the Other Side.

But before I do, let me say that with as much experience and evidence of communication that has been demonstrated by myself and some of the world's finest Mediums, it is still the case that no one has a full understanding of exactly what takes place after the change called Death. Or in Heaven, as many refer to it. I would add that those who claim they have full knowledge of it and remain steadfast in their views, are more than likely being less than truthful.

Our earthly concerns about death confuse and shadow the truth with our own fears. Fears of the unknown and the unseen world.

But in the realm of unencumbered and unimpeded consciousness, Spirit expresses Joy with wondrous intelligence. Death, or transition, is in fact a jubilation of triumph over the finality of earthly experiences. It is a shedding of our ego-based emotions.

When able to blend with a capable medium, Spirits seem jubilant in the knowledge they are able to communicate evidence of their continued existence. They are eager to let their loved ones know that they are OK. They are eager to let their loved ones know they are still with them.

It is through this blending that the heightened power and the elation of Spirit energy is also impressed on the medium.

It is probably best described in my experience as exhilaration or Joy.

And what of the worst of people? Do they experience Joy in the afterlife?

It has been my experience that those who have hurt and taken advantage of others here in this lifetime are met with greater challenges in a vision of their life's misgivings. They are met with greater challenges in their vision of their wasted time in life.

But they, too, have been given clarity and an opportunity for reformation in the afterlife.

These spirits may at first approach the medium as unhappy or troubled. This is in order to be more easily identified by their loved ones. Evidence of their behaviors, actions and choices in life are, in fact, their name tag and best serve those left behind as evidence of their continued existence.

But beyond the personality is the spirit.

The spirit is now with an unencumbered overview of their life and the effect they had on others. However harsh it may be for those of us left here to accept, they are now joined with the oneness of love among all spirits - the Spirit World, which provides a greater gift of possibilities to progress, for reformation and for forgiveness. A world in which they can continue to evolve and experience the joy, euphoria and wonder of the highest and best.

How do we embrace Joy in times of grief?

Understandably, the notion of Joy is a difficult one for us to embrace in times of grief. If we could but have a fuller understanding of our oneness in spirit - and our seemingly co-creative efforts to achieve the greater good for souls - we can begin to wrap our minds around the motives of a heart of love.

We can begin to wrap our minds around a place of peace and contentment that is the Spirit World.

The miracle of Mediumship - the communication between the living and the Spirit World - gives great promise to the realization of 'forever'. It gives great promise that we will all be reunited with friends and family someday in a heavenly realm. We can be comforted with the promise of continued love and understanding in a place of great intelligence where we can awaken finally to life's greater meaning.

I, for one, can claim the Joy in that.

I hope that you, too, can come to know your loved ones are in a joyous place of oneness and peace.
