Can I Communicate with My Own Spirit Loved Ones?

I hope this newsletter finds you all well and safe during the current crisis.  I am keeping you all in my prayers.

Because of the current situation I thought it might be helpful to answer this month’s question for the benefit of many who are asking if there are ways that they can communicate with their own departed loved ones. The answer requires a little more than a quick newsletter so I thought it would be best to address the question in three stages.  I will therefore dedicate two newsletters to an explanation and then will be announcing a FREE one hour webinar which will walk you through the process in more detail in hopes that you will benefit from some online guidance.

The question has been posed to me in various ways but it boils down to this – “Can I sense or communicate with my own departed loved ones”?
The answer is simply – Yes! However the manner in which or the frequency of which this can happen depends on a number of factors including being open to the number of possibilities and ways in which you may accomplish this. 

So let’s start with some basic truths and build a firm foundation of understanding before jumping into this blindly.

All of us who have lost people close to us will suffer from the stages of grief at some point after their transition. Each of us will react differently and process the difficulties of loss in our own way and through our own being at varied levels of intensity depending on who we are.  It is important to know that the rawness & intensity of grief can often impede our ability to make clear connections so the first effort should be to breathe, rest and not rush the process on our terms.  Give the event some space or breathing room to allow the pressures of the unfathomable pain to dissipate slightly. 

Beyond the doubt and skepticism of most people during
​these difficult times, there is hope.

We must then remain open and allow ourselves the patience to do the work through a number of exercises that will help us to become open to spirit and keenly aware of the evidence of their presence. While believing fully that if I do what is asked of me, I stand a chance of experiencing a spiritual event or knowledge of my loved one’s presence. There is the possibility to not only recapture fond memories and refresh relationships, but there is the great and profound possibility to allow the creator and the continued consciousness of our lost loved ones in their new life, to share new insights and information with you directly.  This is an opportunity for your spirit loved ones to offer new comforts, healing and direction for your life.

Exercise for Entering a mild altered state

Let us start with one simple exercise to establish your reach and connection with them today.  I will share a few more with you in our next newsletter after you’ve had some time to attempt the exercise.

In order for us to create the best conditions for the exchange of energy and information we will need to achieve a light trance state or altered state of mind which is primarily the use of the right brain or the creative mind. One simple way to achieve this altered state is through the ancient practice of Scrying. I find it to be a very easy method for students and the bereaved to experience a reasonable depth of a mild altered state. 

To begin, sit still in an unencumbered and quiet place and focus your attention on a shiny or semi-shiny surface such as a darkened mirror, the back of a cell phone, water, candle light, or crystals to give you just a few examples. Focus, focus, focus - allowing all of the distractions to dissipate. As Peripheral vision begins to drift aside allow yourself to breathe steadily and naturally. In through the nose gently and out through pursed lips, very comfortably.

This will feel very similar to a daydream type state. If you were to remember back to a time in school when you lost attention on the teacher or the topic and began to stare out the window perhaps at a fluttering leaf or the shiny bumper of an old Chevy, you would remember going off into a drift and losing your place in your present surroundings or what the teacher was saying. This may have gotten you in trouble back then but now it is exactly the place you want your mind to go. 

This is the altered state –
​or the creative mind which is activated in the right brain. 

If we go into this state with sincere intention or prayer in hopes of communicating with a loved one and remain in that quiet place for 10 to 15 minutes, we stand a good chance of sensing communication with that loved one.

Communication is a two way street consisting of questions and answers. This is a conversation using a sensory language. In other words our answers come in the form of things we see in our minds. We may also hear things or we might smell, taste or feel things run through us.  We listen with everything we are and at the last resort we hear actual words. We perceive things or we are impressed by that which is not of our own making.

Repeat the exercise until you are comfortable with achieving a truly independent, altered mind. Now give it a try but don’t do it while you’re driving or running with scissors!
