Images of Peace
There is no greater gift in my life than the moment I hand a drawing or a likeness of a loved one in spirit to a grieving person. Having never met my clients, and not knowing anything of their loved one who has passed, it is beyond my understanding how I can communicate with those in the spirit world, let alone see them and draw them back to life. It can only be through the power of Spirit, or a much higher intelligence than my own, that such a gift is possible.
To see the relief and mystery of spirit shine through a grieving person’s pain and devastation as a result of my work is beyond any words I can muster. To witness the reaction of a parent, sibling, spouse, or others left behind is a moment of awe—a “God moment—that I feel so very blessed and humbled to be part of. I find it a struggle to accept credit for a gift that I feel I have been charged with the responsibility of. I therefore continue to stretch, strive, and take the risk to put forth the best of my abilities. I have come to know that I am a medium first. I have come to know that I am here to serve.
A medium’s role goes far beyond creating any shock factor, delivering grand generalizations, or reach for over-emotional feelings. Mediumship is not some game, trickery, or stunt for effect. Communication with spirit and the work of a medium are a truthful exploration and an all-out effort to honor holiness itself. Mediumship honors not just the holiness and well-being of the grieving relative, but the very soul of the loved on who died and the loving spirit of the medium himself.
